Self-Awareness & Slowing Down Your Thinking

I find great meaning in connecting with people and helping them grow. Seeing a client succeed in making a change is what drives me forward. My coaching focuses on self-awareness and self-leadership because I believe self-reflection is the most essential skill in the workplace. I want to help people develop this ability.

Self-reflection is about slowing down your thinking—it allows us to make smarter choices, lead ourselves and others more effectively, and ultimately live with greater clarity. I coach managers and leadership teams on topics such as human-centered company culture and well-being leadership.

When it comes to self-leadership, I’m particularly passionate about coaching in areas like self-reflection, finding personal meaning, mental well-being, recovery, and stress management.

My approach to coaching is centered on guiding thought processes. Actions and behaviors naturally follow from how we think and feel.

I previously worked as a physician in both hospitals and health centers, in both the public and private sectors. I’m naturally an encourager and am often recognized for my ability to connect with people. Above all, I believe that being truly present is the key to meaningful interactions.

Life Outside of Work

I live in Oulu with my family. Under normal circumstances, I travel frequently to the Helsinki area, which does take time away from my family. My children bring so much meaning to my life, and they have taught me a great deal about life itself.

Any spare time I have outside of work and family life is spent being active or working on outdoor projects. As a homeowner, there’s always something to do in the yard. When it comes to exercise, running is my go-to. Whenever I notice a 30-minute window in my day, I throw on my running shoes and head straight for the trails just a few hundred meters from our house. While I wouldn’t call myself an avid runner, I have completed five marathons in my life. That says less about my fitness level and more about my tendency to take on a challenge! In addition to running, I also enjoy playing ice hockey.
